Seawater Greenhouses use seawater in arid coastal regions to enable growing vegetables in inhospitable areas and fight desertification. Though it is a very different application of solar energy, it is also a very promising technology that brings benefits of empowerment, resilience and adaption to some of the areas that are most at risk in the coming decades. With Trines ability to negotiate the application of solar driven technologies in local cultures and its loaners/creditors somewhat accepting the offers of philanthropic/risk seeking investments, these projects could be powered at least on a trial basis.
