As I continue to reinvest the repayments my portfolio is getting more and more concentrated, especially in terms of countries since there are so many loans of e.g. bisedge. With better diversity I could consider taking a greater risk, i.e. invest more.
I fully agree with this comment! More countries would make me invest more.

Thank you both for the feedback. There are new exciting investment opportunities in new markets coming up in 2023!

this is also my main concern Ethiopia? Morrocco? Namibia? Botswana? Bolivia? Columbia? Sri Lanka? Cambodia? Indonesia? Malaysia? Philippines?
It’s 2023. I’m still waiting for options to diversify my portfolio.
I’m currently not keen on investing further in the existing companies unless there are also some new options to diversify with. Please find some project(s) in Ethiopia.
Yes please! While I do like sticking to the tried and tested, it would feel better if some expansion was also going on so as not to stagnate or become too narrow in focus.

We are continuously expanding our borrowing list by adding new countries. Our selection criteria are quite unique, factoring in currency risk, regulatory landscape, and the financial attractiveness of projects.
Currently, we are in the due diligence and negotiation phases with borrowers from Colombia, Brazil, Indonesia, and Kenya. Hopefully, at least a few will progress to the final stages, allowing us to list their projects on our platform—fingers crossed!
That said, borrowers sometimes drop out even at late stages of due diligence, so while we cannot guarantee every project will move forward, we are committed to expanding our country list and continuously reaching out to new borrowers across Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
We’ll keep you updated on our progress!
Any update on this? Currently whe only have the options of investing in the 19th loan to Vu Phong or the 37! loan to Bisedge.
I do believe in both this companies but it’s not an option for me to keep concentrating the portfolio by choosing the same company loans again and again since i allready invested in quite a few. We all know that all loans are in the same boat if a company would struggle in the future.
So, any updates on the process or additional borrowers?

Hi Oskar,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We completely understand the concern around portfolio concentration. New transactions typically take between 6 to 12 months to complete. We currently have 2–3 deals in the pipeline at different stages of closing and expect at least one of them to go live within the next month.
We appreciate your patience and continued trust as we work to bring more diversification to the platform.
Best,
Liz

Hi,
New borrowers such as Alpha Solar and Charged have recently launched on the platform, helping to further diversify the portfolio.
The loan for Charged 1 is now live on the dashboard and available for investment: https://trine.com/loan/charged-1
